Preparation

Please ensure to follow the guidelines on the back of your Weathershield paint in regards how to prepare your walls correctly.

  • SCRAPE

Firstly, remove all the loose or flaking material from your wall, this is an essential process so take your time to complete correctly

  • CLEAN

Ensure surfaces to be painted are clean (no dirt, grease or flaking paint) and dry. Areas affected by mould, lichen or algae should be treated with Weathershield Multi-Surface Fungicidal Wash

  • SEAL

If the surface is still powdery after thorough preparation, seal it with a coat of Weathershield Stabilising Primer. Do not use this primer to seal sound surfaces. Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell product.

TIP: if you seal a new or bare surface, thin the paint by adding 1 part of water to 5 parts of paint.
